Many Stonehill College students will be spending their spring break week helping those in need as part of the school's H.O.P.E. Alternative Spring Break Program. The following local residents will be traveling the week of March 9th to New Orleans where they will be volunteering for the Saint Bernard Project, an award-winning rebuilding, nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure that disaster-impacted communities in the greater New Orleans area recover in a prompt, efficient, and predictable way.

BW Students Performing in CARRIE: The Musical Earn Glowing Reviews

The reviews are in with thumbs up for Baldwin Wallace University and Beck Center for the Arts collaborative presentation of "CARRIE: The Musical," directed by Victoria Bussert with choreography by Gregory Daniels and musical direction by Nancy Maier. The Plain Dealer calls CARRIE, based on Stephen King's 1974 heart-chilling novel, "a powerful wallop of a piece with a smart, pop sensibility balanced by real emotion ... it's like nothing that has come before." Runs through March 9, 2014.

More than 2,000 high-achieving students have been named to the Hofstra University Dean's List for Fall 2013. Students who began their studies before Fall 2012 must earn at least a 3.4 grade point average to qualify. Those who entered the university after Fall 2012 must earn a grade point average of 3.5. Nichols College Announces Fall, 2013 Dean's List

Nichols College's Office of the Registrar has announced the Dean's List for the fall semester of 2013. The Dean's List gives recognition to those students who achieve high grades during a single semester. In order to be included in the Dean's List, a student must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.2 for at least 12 credit-hours and receive no grade below a C+ during the semester. A student who earns a grade point average of 3.6 or higher is awarded Dean's High Honors.
